Who is Aydra Jenson?

Born and raised in the heart of Sonoma county, Aydra Jenson cultivated her gifts as an artist from birth in a humble, country home. First in a family of 4, she was known to organize and showcase various musicals, plays and even VHS skits with siblings and neighbors. A natural on stage, she navigated lead roles from kindergarten up through high school and danced at the local studio studying jazz and tap for nearly 6 years.

It was always a race to be seen. She craved the camera, and put together many of her own photo shoots as young as 13. Receiving her first guitar also that year, she played in two bands throughout school, wrote countless songs and was constantly scrap-booking in class. She always told her classmates she would ‘sing and dance’ though she was recognized mostly for her creative writing skills throughout both elementary, middle and high-school.

Aydra followed many dance communities in her early teens in San Francisco and continued to build her image as an artist and write music on her casio keyboard. After landing a Microsoft modeling gig at 17 she was able to travel Europe and return with a definitive proclamation to become a touring and recording artist with emphasis on a stage show. In her late teens however, Aydra became aware that creating her own survival and working towards her dreams surfaced physical trauma and revealed obstacles. To find ease in her efforts and come into her strength she was going to have to work harder. She enrolled in dance classes, found a vocal coach and began investing in the healing arts. During this time she also grew a business out of a love for raw and living foods and party hosting. Since, she has built a flourishing practice as a creative chef and moved herself from the bay to LA to chase her wild dream.

She has now conceived of an entire vision. With influences ranging from Tool, Tori Amos to AFI and Evanescence, she continues to write and imagine her music embodying her immense love for both electronic music and rock/pop. She continues to sharpen her skills, including fire throwing both with staff and poi as well as aerial arts and a deep yoga practice. Working with celebrity cliental in gourmet foods has helped her to climb closer to the world she craves.

Currently she has recorded over 30 songs independently at a home studio in Silverlake and her bungalow in Topanga, she is in the process of stripping them down to essential demo material with several producers but as of yet, she has not found her ideal producer for the big bass/dance/anthem sound she is seeking. Currently she is playing regular shows with her team of dancers across Los Angeles and at this time is completely self-produced. Her mission is remaining open to the limitless possibilites as well as keeping things as green and real as possible for a sustainable future earth and lifestyle.

Go Freely and with Intent. <:^:> STARSIX
